Conquering Quarantine #10: Praying
What's it going to be like next year? You know, what's it going to be like the duration of the year? What are we looking at down the road? Unfortunately, none of us can see into the future.
I want to encourage you to pray.
We're living in a world that has a lot of pain and a lot of hurts. People are making decisions and behaving based upon deep-seated hurts. I'm not condoning or condemning any of the things that people have done but to be honest with you, I kind of understand some of the mindset people have....they are hurting.
We live in a sinful world with a sinful culture, and none of us really want to admit it. My encouragement for you is to PRAY. When I pray, I keep prayers for my neighbors, my church family, the leaders within the church. I pray for people who I know are sick right now, people who are injured, people who are in and out of the hospital. I pray for myself because I don't want to lose sight of what my purpose is on this planet. I'm here to help people. I'm here to show love and kindness, and sometimes I'm really good at it and sometimes I'm not, but that's why I remember I can always turn to my savior, Jesus.
God is protecting us.
So my encouragement to you is pray, pray for our nation, pray for the leadership. And I don't mean praying for certain people to be in and out of office. I mean, praying for God's will over our country. If we can choose to submit in prayer and repent of the things that we are doing that is wrong or whatever leadership is in the area that you're in right now is doing it. Doesn't take away from the fact that our God is bigger and greater than all of those people, all of the decisions that they make and everything that they do. I don't know how the pandemic has affected you personally. I don't know if you've lost family or friends. What I do know is that anything that is happening in your life, even at this very moment, God is covering all of it.
These times draw you closed to God.
If you're reading this and you are a believer of Jesus Christ, I call you to repent to the Lord. Just take a few minutes, 10-15 minutes to reconnect yourself and be reminded of how important it is to put God first in your life.

I love you all.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!
