A New Season

Updated: Apr 30, 2022

I am inspired. It's a new season, and I'm excited about it. You know that when it's winter, it's gloomy and cold. You want to bundle up and stay indoors (more so now during COVID). I sometimes think about the way we feel on the inside; we sometimes bottle that up, cover it up, and pretend like it's not there. As a new season emerges, I think about how many ways we can release all of the covered-up bottled-up feelings we've had inside.

You could live a life of freedom and joy if you choose one thing.

I was recently doing a study with a women's group on unforgiveness. We talked about how when you have unforgiveness in your heart, it affects so many things in your life, like bitterness, impatience, selfishness, and irritation. You've allowed yourself to harbor these seeds. I'm not saying that if you have these emotions, it directly equates to unforgiveness. But for many people, these issues come from the bitter root of unforgiveness.

You can live a life of freedom and joy if you choose one thing….forgive somebody that has hurt you. Forgiveness is huge. Decide to release that person or persons who hurt you. Let them go.

Who have you not forgiven? Whom have you been holding on to that? Who do you feel owes you something? Think about unforgiveness.

Be blessed and be a blessing.
